Pino is an Ajax-born, Toronto-based singer, songwriter and producer creating R&B rooted in memory, heritage and musical study. Raised in a Filipino household filled with singers, karaoke and his father’s ’90s R&B collection, he developed an early appreciation for the voices, melodies and emotion that shaped the genre.That foundation evolved into a deep study of classic R&B and its many eras, informing an approach that feels nostalgic without being confined by the past. Drawing from the warmth of the ’90s, the experimentation of the early 2000s and the intimacy of contemporary R&B, Pino builds his own world through detailed production, understated vocals and emotionally honest songwriting.Whether revisiting the sounds he grew up around or reconnecting with his Filipino roots, Pino’s music is guided by the same instinct: to honour where he comes from while creating something distinctly his own.
